David Wirrpanda Employment Program

In 2009 and 2010 Interpeople partnered with the David Wirrpanda Foundation to offer the P242 Employment Program to 22 participants. P242 provides indigenous students with the opportunity to complete a Certificate II in Business, as well as access to the Foundation's life skills program taught by David Wirrpanda, Troy Cook, Shannon McGuire and the Foundation's other role models.

The first group of participants graduated on 3 September 2009, with thirteen students successfully graduating from the program ready for entry into the workforce.

2012 is set to be an exciting year for the P242 project, with the DWF mentors teaching the course and providing on-going 'on the job' support following participant entry into the workforce.
