YMCA Perth - Big Brothers Big Sisters

"Changing the life of a young person for the better, forever"

Interpeople are proud supporters of the Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring program operated by YMCA Perth. The initiative allows vulnerable youth aged 7 - 17 years of age to experience a supportive and trustworthy relationship with an adult. The primary goal of the program is to develop a mutually satisfying, self-sustaining relationship, where both parties voluntarily come together on a regular basis.

Young people referred to the program are typically living in complex or chaotic family environments, without the necessary support young people in these circumstances are at high risk of dropping out of school, turning to drugs and alcohol, becoming violent or committing crime.
